The God of Plenty

Summer and fall bring bounty in WA. It’s one of my favorite things about this area. We serve a God of overwhelming bounty and generosity. He wants to give and He has unending resources to give. Often we live as if there is scarcity. Scarcity of food, money, support – we worry, we fret, we fear. What if, for instance, instead of going into an interview for a job and worrying that you won’t get the job, you go in with calm assurance that there are plenty of jobs God has prepared for you and if you don’t get this one, you’ll get another. There is no lack of plenty with God.

“My God shall supply all your needs, according to His riches in glory.” Phil 4:19

“No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Ps. 84:11

Do we really believe that? Let’s all pray God would remove a scarcity mindset from our lives and build our confidence in His generosity and bounty.
