Jesus, Our Redeemer

Jesus, Our Redeemer

Recently when I opened my curtains, the sky was clear and the sun was shining following several weeks of Washington winter gray. Even though the air is still cold, the sunshine gave me a renewed sense of hope and purpose. I love how God’s creation displays what we have in Jesus.

The same thing happens to me when I pick up my Bible. This morning it was the words of Job, “I know that my Redeemer lives and that in the end he will stand on the earth.

Job didn’t use those words when he was feeling good about his life. He said them when his life had been shattered beyond recognition. Job’s faith in the face of hardships helps me to remember that the sunny days and dark clouds of my life will come and go, but Lord remains the same. My Redeemer
lives!
