Friendship

Summer can be such a fun time for friendships—pool parties, camping, Fourth of July celebrations, and long conversations on the back porch that stretch past sunset. They say it takes about 200 hours together to make a good friend! Summer’s longer days can help speed up that process.
Friendship is at the heart of God. He gave us the church as a place for deep connection and belonging—belonging in deep, abiding, even eternal friendships. Psalm 68:6 says, “God sets the lonely in families.” The church offers a place of belonging—not perfect, but full of possibility. If we choose to stay and invest, we’ll discover growth, connection, and true friendship.
As a good friend once told me, “Take the time and trouble to get to know someone.” You might just be blessed with a new friend.
